Check in/out

For self catering guests check in time is from 16.00 and check out is by 10.00.

For B&B guests check in time is from 16.00 - 18.00 and check out is by 11.00.  Late arrivals/departures, are accommodated where possible by prior arrangement.

Deposit and Payment

For self catering booked direct a £60 deposit is required to confirm the booking. Balance payment is due 10 weeks prior to arrival. If the booking is made within 10 weeks of the arrival date then full payment is required at the time of booking.

For self catering booked through Cottages.com their Ts & Cs apply.

For B&B direct bookings, a 50% deposit is required with full payment due 24 hours before arrival.

Payment can be made using most credit/debit cards or by BACS. We do not accept cheques, diners cards or American Express. There is no charge for card payments.

Cancellation Policy for Self Catering Guests booking direct

If you have made a direct booking and need to cancel then the following terms apply:

The cancellation charges refer to the number of days before the start date of your trip that we receive your notice to cancel (or on which you are deemed to have cancelled) 

More than 70 days: Full deposit retained

57 to 70 days: 50% of total accommodation cost due

43 to 56 days: 60% of total accommodation cost

29 to 42 days: 75% of total accommodation cost

8 to 28 days: 90% of total accommodation cost

7 days or less: 95% of total accommodation cost

Cancellation Policy for B&B Guests 

If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to the first night of the stay will be made.
If the booking is cancelled 14 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to GBP 3.50 per room booked will be made.
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

Pets

We accept one well-behaved dog in the self catering. 

In the B&B regrettably we are unable to accept pets into the house.

No smoking
For the comfort and safety of all our guests we are exclusively a non-smoking establishment. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Damage
We reserve the right to charge guests for any damage caused to property or structure of Craigellie House. Also any thing removed or taken. We will make a charge to the guests credit/debit card or send an invoice for the cost for payment to the guests registered address.

 

Liability
The liability for guests for their account is not waved and guests agree to be held personally liable for any charges incurred during their stay. In the event of a booking for more than one room (a group booking) the lead or registered guest (a group booking) the lead guest providing credit/debit card details is personally liable for any person, group, company or association that fails to pay all or part of such charges. 

Insurance
We strongly advise that guests ensure that they have travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, including cancellation. Please make sure that your insurance covers pandemics and especially covers personal illness with Covid-19 or any of its variants as refunds will not be given unless the whole country is in national lockdown. Refunds will not be given due to guests contracting Covid-19 or any of its’ variants which means that they will not be able to come on their booked dates. If we manage to re-sell the dates we will move the dates to a time in the future by mutual agreement subject to availability. If there is a price difference this is incurred by the guest.

Privacy Policy

We do not collect or store any personal information via this site.
